I first met Cheyenne and Chris when they were modeling a Christmas Mini Set for me. They won the most votes to be my couple model and I have no doubt of why. These two have been each others everything since high school. Chris even proposed at Cheyenne’s graduation… I guess he couldn’t wait another second to make this beautiful women his. They planned this gorgeous day for three years!
Wondering about the theme? You may have guessed with the red (burgundy), white, and blue with some gold in there that this is a military couple. Chris is in the Air Force. He was stationed in NC and Cheyenne was in WV while they were planning this perfect day, although they took every opportunity possible to see each other.
I feel so blessed having been a part of this day.
A charming southern farm fit for any bride and groom’s dream day. Glade Creek Farm is located in Cool Ridge West Virginia, so there was some travel for me to get there (having moved back to NC) and it was so worth it. This day, at this venue, with this couple, and those details were something from a fairy tale. Even being almost 36 weeks pregnant ( and being extremely sore afterwards) I would do it all over again 100 times.
“Goin’ to the Chapel and we’re gonna get married…”
I can’t not hear this song in my head when seeing this Chapel.
If being around this couple doesn’t convince you that they are perfect for each other, this certainly will. Both of them mentioned the show The Office in their vows. So naturally I had to ask Cheyenne what character she thought that Chris was… her response, “sometimes Michael Scott, but mostly Creed.” Lol. I didn’t ask him the same question so I may have to do that.
Got to capture the sweet moment when mom helps her daughter put on the dress she will marry the love of her life in.
Pause… do you see how stinking adorable this laugh is. That is one lucky groom.
A bride fit to be queen.
P.s. – this is the reason that I adore window light!
Cheyenne had a first look with her dad and it did not disappoint. As a daddy’s girl myself, I love these moments.
And here is Cheyenne’s handsome groom getting ready for the big moment.
Whoever told you military men don’t cry lied to you. These men are strong but have the biggest hearts. They have to with what they do for their beloved country and fellow Americans.
Okay, this guy means business. Nothing is getting past him.
And if I didn’t already love this couple enough… they danced back down the aisle!
The Wedding Party
But seriously… she found all the beautiful women to be her bridesmaids. These ladies could have all been models.
This dip is a signature picture for this couple. They have one for all the big moments in their lives together. We had to get the dip shot.
I don’t think she was expecting this, but she loved it. Lol.
Then it was time for the dad and his daughter’s dance… and the groom as he watches the moment between them.
An emotional mom and son dance.
After the dances it was time for the cake, and I may be wrong but I think he expected her to get him good.
With the very well-known Jeff Bolen DJing.
If you haven’t heard of the Shoe Game, go look it up. It is a cute game that I think all couples would enjoy.
How could there be a more perfect end to this gorgeous wedding day? A sparkler exit with loved ones lighting the way.
