A Fall Wedding at the Atrium in Wilmington

Brittany and Patrick said I do during an intimate gathering of loved ones at the Atrium in Wilmington, NC. Wilmington has many beautiful wedding venues to choose from, and the Atrium is certainly a favorite.

Plus, photographing their wedding gave me a chance to visit the beach! We have so much to enjoy in the Charlotte area. Just no beaches.

They met with the help of their dogs. Their furbabies introduced them on the beach! Talk about an awesome meet cute worthy of being put in the movies.

When the two of them started planning their wedding they knew they wanted to get married in Wilmington. The search led them to an area rich in tremendously beautiful wedding venues. Historic Wilmington serves a large number of couples for their wedding needs, including those not local to Wilmington through destination weddings.

The Atrium has a rich history. The structure was originally a stable for horses. Then an urban garden until it was discovered by Millie and Jennifer.

Today the Atrium wedding venue is a favorite among couples looking for a mix of modern and magical.

The day started out in the bridal loft. Brittany had all of her wedding details ready for their time in the spotlight. After grabbing a few behind the scenes of everyone getting ready, it was time to break out the macro lens for some pretty epic ring shots. I am obsessed with their wedding colors. Terracotta is one of my new all-time favorites!

 

The wedding reception design was a dream.

Their first look was an amazing moment with tears of joy! Patrick was so happy he had tears just hearing her behind him.

Right after that emotional first look we took their bride and groom portraits.

A First Look with the Father of the Bride

Patrick received a heartfelt gift from his mom as a surprise. A gift to honor and have his dad there with him on the big day. There were more beautiful tears.

This moment got me. I was choked up too, because these moments are the ones that need to be remembered and cherished. It is these moments where I am so grateful for every opportunity that I get to create these treasures for people.

The Ceremony | Wedding venues in Wilmington

Due to rain the ceremony had to be moved from its original spot, however you probably would have never guessed that this was a rain plan ceremony. The Atrium has an incredible rain plan location.

Brittany and Patrick wrote personal vows to each other for the ceremony. After a heartfelt of their wedding vows and the rings, they shared an amazing first kiss.
