As a Charlotte, NC based wedding photographer, I sometimes find myself traveling out of state for weddings. Little Acre Farm in Princeton, WV is one of the places that feels like home away from home. Jamie (the bride) contacted me about her wedding at this venue and I was so excited.

Something different about this Bride & Groom

Unlike with most of my other couples, I hadn’t met Jamie and Jody before the big day.

The first thing I noticed about both of them was that they were both so calm. Typically there would be an engagement session with me before the big day, but Jamie and Jody had already had an engagement session so we didn’t schedule one.  The great thing about having an engagement session with your wedding photographer before the big day is that we have a chance to get to know each other. This helps with nerves on the big day.

Sometimes nerves can get the best of us, but Jamie was a natural in front of the camera. She had that glow and you can tell from her expressions that she is smitten.

 

Wedding Theme

The theme for the day followed a color scheme… dusty rose and grey. These colors tied in beautifully together, and the floral from Ling’s Moments were stunning. They worked their magic all over the wedding creating an elegant feel to the entire day. The design of the big day also included lots of personalized items. Jamie said she wanted the day to be different.

The sweetest first look I have ever experienced.

The bride had a first look with her son and he got emotional at the sight of his mom all dolled up for her big day.

Their first kiss. The look she gave when the officiant asked if anyone objected. She meant business.
