Golden light, meaningful moments, and a love centered on faith. Rebekah and Samuel’s wedding at The Venues at Langtree in Mooresville NC was equal parts timeless and joyful. Set under the sweeping branches of an oak tree and followed by a sunset lit celebration indoors, their day was filled with intentional beauty from beginning to end.
As a photographer & videographer, I always appreciate when a venue balances charm and functionality, and The Venues at Langtree does exactly that. Between the romantic outdoor ceremony site under a majestic oak tree and the sleek, modern reception hall just steps away, it’s a dream location.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was capturing Rebekah getting ready in the Mott House, a historic building on the property with elegant touches and a private balcony, perfect for quiet moments and bridal portraits. And as the sun began to set, the golden light around the property gave us the most stunning glow for their newlywed photos and video.
Rebekah and Samuel chose to skip a first look, but shared a heartfelt first touch just before their ceremony. In that moment, they exchanged private vows, words filled with tenderness, anticipation, and deep love for one another and for the life they’re beginning with God at the center.
The ceremony began at 4:30pm beneath the oak tree, with friends and family surrounding them in peaceful reverence and celebration. Samuel was visibly moved from the moment he saw Rebekah; he lit up every time he looked at her. Rebekah radiated kindness and joy, floating down the aisle in a white gown with romantic, flowy sleeves and a classic veil.
The reception was hosted indoors in the venue’s spacious hall, a beautiful blend of modern design and warm ambiance. The floral palette leaned elegant and organic: white blooms with fresh greenery, styled in a unique way. Each bridesmaid carried a white bouquet but no two were the same. It was a whimsical twist that kept everything cohesive yet personal.
One of the sweetest (literally!) parts of the day was dessert. A woman from their church made both the cookies and the cake, and I can honestly say they were the best wedding desserts I’ve ever had. That kind of community touch made the entire celebration feel intimate and full of heart.
The sunset at Langtree is something magical, and this night did not disappoint. The light filtered through the trees, casting a soft golden glow as Rebekah and Samuel held each other and soaked in the first few quiet moments of marriage. Those moments are some of my favorites from the entire day, gentle, emotional, and effortlessly beautiful.
