Back in May of 2017 I shot Samantha and Brian’s Wedding at Overlook Barn in Banner Elk, NC.

They had it all planned perfectly. The details were perfect from the dessert spread to the flowers they used. I mean you should have seen her beautiful heels. They worked hard along side their planner to plan their perfect day.
Then came the day of the wedding. The weather was absolutely terrible. Fog so heavy you couldn’t see the barn until you were 20 feet from it. Pooring rain. Sadly, with this weather we could not get outside to have any pictures at the beautiful overlooks that the venue has to offer. Their ceremony was moved inside as it was clear the outdoors was not going to be an option.

Despite the weather, their wedding was beautiful. But it had bothered me for them since their day that they didn’t get those beautiful views they longed for in their photos.

Fast forward to this year (2019) and they contacted me to set up a family session that would also incorporate their wedding attire at beautiful mountain views. I was in. 100x yes in.
